Heads up, Mumbaikars! 5-hour MEGA BLOCK between Borivali and Ram Mandir Stations on June 30

Khushboo Ali

Western Railway has announced a significant update for Mumbai local train commuters. On Sunday, June 30, a jumbo block will be in effect between Borivali and Ram Mandir railway stations. The block, scheduled from 10 AM to 3 PM, aims to facilitate essential maintenance work on tracks, signalling, and overhead equipment.

Vineet Abhishek, Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, stated that during this period, all UP and DOWN fast line trains will operate on slow lines between Borivali and Andheri stations. Some suburban trains will be cancelled, while others will extend their routes to Goregaon on the Harbour line.

Passengers are advised to check detailed information with the concerned Station Masters to avoid inconvenience. Despite the jumbo block, local train operations will not come to a complete halt, but commuters should plan their travel accordingly. The maintenance work is part of Western Railway's efforts to ensure smooth train operations, especially crucial during the monsoon season when heavy rainfall often disrupts services.
