The Indian Institute of Technology Bombay Racing won the Formula Bharat 2024 championship, taking first place overall and standing tall in the Electric Vehicle Category. This contingent is India's premier 'Formula Student Electric team', aiming to transform electric transportation in India with sustainable technology and innovations. IIT-B distinguished itself among the 41 teams that competed nationwide, by winning the overall title and dominating the Static events.

The team also did well in the Cost Event and Vehicle Dynamics (VED) categories, placing second and third respectively. The group won a special award for having the best control system, under the direction of faculty advisor Prof. Sandeep Anand.

Similar to the international student Formula series, Formula Bharat saw universities competing in the areas of engineering design, cost-effectiveness, marketability, and dynamic performance.
