The city woke up to a cloudy morning today with light to moderate rain in the suburbs. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast a week of cloudy weather with moderate rain and a slight dip in temperatures.

This pattern is expected to persist for the next 48 hours, with a Yellow Alert in place for Mumbai on August 1. Additionally, an Orange Aert has been issued for the city and its surrounding regions, starting August 3.

A yellow alert has been issued for Mumbai from August 1, indicating the likelihood of heavy rainfall in isolated areas. The suburbs may experience temperatures as low as 25°C.

Rainfall is expected to intensify from August 3, affecting Mumbai and the surrounding Metropolitan Region. An orange alert is notified for parts of Thane and Palghar, warning of heavy to very heavy rainfall. However, the IMD notifies that the intensity will likely be lower compared to last week's downpour.

Residents of Mumbai, Thane, Palghar, Raigad, Ratnagiri, Pune, Satara, and several other districts should remain cautious as the IMD has also predicted thunderstorms with lightning in some areas.
