According to a recent forecast by the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), parts of Mumbai and its suburbs are in for a spell of light rainfall or drizzle from May 27 to 29. As the sun peeks through the misty clouds, temperatures are expected to hover between 34°C and 29°C.
Mumbaikars can expect the arrival of the southwest monsoon in Mumbai, around June 10-11, as per the meteorological murmurs! Sunil Kamble, the Director of IMD, shared that monsoons have already graced the Andaman Islands and is currently journeying towards Kerala, expected to grace its shores by May 31.
Monsoons are expected to hit the rest of Maharashtra, including Nashik, Ahmednagar, Pune, Satara, Sangli, Kolhapur, Solapur, Marathwada, and Vidarbha, by June 15. There is a possibility that the Bengal branch of the monsoon could become active earlier than expected, potentially bringing rain to Sangli, Solapur, Dharashiv, Latur, Nanded, Parbhani, and neighbouring districts ahead of schedule, said reports.
