Knocksense Shorts | 18 special trains, 12 locals to operate in Mumbai for 'Mahaparinirvan Din'

Ahead of Dr. Ambedkar's death anniversary, known as 'Mahaparinirvan Din', Central Railways has announced 18 long-distance special trains and 12 new Mumbai local trains. These trains will be operated to enable smooth commute for Dr. Ambedkar's followers who will be visiting Mumbai on December 6.

Out of the 18 long-distance trains, 8 will go towards Mumbai while 10 will operate from the city. Apart from these, 12 new local trains will also run from different locations of the city to facilitate the to and fro of followers on December 5 and December 6.

Security has also been tightened at Dadar Station and the police have also issued traffic restrictions. It is noteworthy that thousands of followers visit the Chaitya Bhoomi to pay tribute to Bharat Ratna Dr. B.R. Ambedkar on his death anniversary.
