In light of the Ram Temple Pran Pratishtha ceremony in Ayodhya, all Central Government offices, institutions, and industrial establishments in Maharashtra will observe a half-day closure on January 22, until 2:30 PM. While the state has not officially declared a holiday, the Bar Council has made a request to the government for consideration.

Responding to the strong sentiments expressed by employees and numerous requests, the Central Government made this noteworthy announcement on Thursday. A half-day has been granted for all government offices across India, allowing employees to participate in the festivities surrounding the significant event.

Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Goa have opted to announce a public holiday on January 22. It is reported that all offices, schools, and colleges will remain closed in these states. On the contrary, Maharashtra has not released any notification regarding such a holiday.
