In some not-so-good news for travellers who still haven't booked their flights for Diwali, airfares from Mumbai during the festival week have skyrocketed. We're still two months away from the festival and the airfares for the week. have already entered the ₹20k-₹35k range.

In fact, the cheapest round-trip fare from Mumbai to places like Srinagar and Patna, was as high as ₹35,000. Furthermore, return fares on flights from places like Ranchi, Raipur, and Kochi are already priced above ₹20,000.

As compared to 2022, airfares are predicted to be 12% higher this year on Diwali. Those who haven't booked their tickets are advised to do so now, as the prices will probably rise further as the festival inches closer.
