The Indian Meteorological Department has issued a 'yellow alert' for Mumbai and neighbouring areas like Palghar and Thane. There's a high possibility of rain across Maharashtra, between November 25 and November 27.

With varying degrees of rainfall in Mumbai likely in the next few days, residents will likely get relief from the pollution. It is noteworthy that Mumbai's AQI already improved on Thursday to reach 'moderate' levels and the expected rainfall will likely push it forward in the positive direction.
