When you out on a late night drive, you might have nibbled on a paan for a modest ₹100. But can you imagine splurging ₹1 lakh on a single paan? Well, say hello to “Fragrance of Love” from The Paan Story, courtesy of Mumbai-based Naushad Sheikh. So, what makes this paan so expensive?

Secret ingredients behind the luxury paan

Touted to be "India's most expensive paan", it is coated with a gold foil and is filled with a blend of saffron and aromatic perfumes. The whole experience is presented in a grand box featuring two compartments, named Prince and Princess, and even includes a marble replica of the Taj Mahal as a keepsake.

Tobacco-free and designed for a discerning clientele, Naushad’s “Fragrance of Love” is quite popular especially among newlyweds, reportedly.

Naushad himself is an MBA graduate with a flair for innovation who has turned the humble paan into a symbol of extravagance through his venture, The Paan Story.
