In great news for ecotourism enthusiasts in Mumbai, Sindhudurg's Parpoli Butterfly Festival is underway and it is now bigger than ever! This magical festival will last for a total of four months now, from October to January 2025.

Wildlife exploration, birdwatching, treks, butterfly walks, and digging your teeth into the delish Malvani cuisine is among the highlights of this foray into the wild, in the thick of the butterfly season.

Make the most of 'Butterfly Season'

Organised by the Sawantwadi Forest Division and the Parpoli's Joint Forest Management Committee, visitors at the festival will be guided by seasoned naturalists on the treks and walks. Furthermore, there'll be local homestays and Malvani food on offer, to allow visitors to get up close and personal with the culture and nature.

So, if you're looking to make the most of this butterfly season, make your way to this weekend getaway spot, 465.6 km from Mumbai. It'll be an ecotourism adventure to remember!
