Major traffic changes affecting S.V Road in Bandra, amid new Metro 2-B construction

Somya Agarwal

With the ongoing Metro 2-B construction on S.V Road in Bandra, Mumbai Traffic Police have rolled out a new traffic advisory to keep things moving smoothly. On August 7, MTP announced no parking and no entry on Maharashtra Road, to help alleviate traffic congestion.

If you are driving from Bandra Station (West) towards S.V Road, you’ll need to take a detour via Maharashtra Road—unless you’re on a BEST bus.  Moreover, parking will be prohibited on both sides of Maharashtra Road, from the Bandra BEST Bus Depot (West) to Badi Masjid on S.V Road.

Along with this, Maharashtra Road will be one-way from Bandra Station (West) towards S.V Road. This means there will be no entry from S.V Road towards Bandra Station (west).

These traffic changes will come into effect from August 8, and will remain in place until February 2025, while the Metro work continues.
