On Sunday, April 7, the Western Railway will conduct a five-hour jumbo block from 11:00 hrs to 16:00 hrs between Mahim and Andheri, affecting both up and down Harbour Lines. This maintenance activity aims to enhance track, signalling, and overhead equipment. Consequently, CSMT-Bandra-CSMT and CSMT-Goregaon-CSMT Harbour Line services will be suspended, alongside certain slow services between Churchgate and Goregaon.
Similarly, Western Railway's mega block on the same day, between Mahim and Andheri, will disrupt both UP and DOWN Harbour Lines. This block is crucial for increasing departmental speed to 160 km per hour at Boisar yard. Some services on the CSMT-Vadodara and CSMT-Goregaon-CSMT Harbour Lines will be canceled, impacting commuters travelling between CSMT, Bandra, Goregaon, and Churchgate.
The Trans-Harbour Line will also face a mega block between Thane and Vashi/Nerul stations from 11:10 AM to 4:10 PM. Additionally, on the Central Line, there will be disruptions on UP and DOWN Slow lines between Matunga and Mulund, from 11:05 AM to 3:55 PM, affecting services departing from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus between 10:14 AM and 3:18 PM. Commuters should expect delays and diversions.
Moreover, Central Railway will execute special traffic power blocks on Saturday/Sunday night, involving UP and DOWN Slow lines, Fast lines, and 5th and 6th lines between Ghatkopar and Bhandup stations to launch girders for Vikhroli ROB in lieu of level crossing No. 14C. The block will last from 1:20 hrs to 4:05 hrs.
