After heavy rains lashed the states of Maharashtra, Goa, and Karnataka, the Indian Coast Guard has triumphed in saving 215 lives through focused rescue and relief operations. In view of the massive waterlogging, the civil officials had requested the Indian Coast Guard for aid and assistance. Consequently, the ICG quickly acted on this request and sent out Disaster Relief Teams (DRTs) with inflatable Gemini boats and life-saving gear to the troubled regions.
