In a major boost to Maharashtra's infrastructure, the upcoming Shivdi-Nhava Sheva Sea Link (Atal Setu) and its connecting expressway promise to revolutionse travel between Mumbai and Pune. The ambitious ₹17,000 crore project will slash the journey time from the current 3-4 hours to just two hours, offering relief to thousands of daily commuters.

The new 130-kilometer, eight-lane expressway will provide a crucial alternative to the often-congested Mumbai-Pune Expressway, particularly addressing the bottlenecks in the Ghat sections. By connecting directly to key areas including JNPT, Solapur, and Satara, the project aims to streamline both passenger and cargo movement.

The centerpiece of this development, the Atal Setu, will work in tandem with the Mumbai Trans-Harbour Link (MTHL), featuring a Singapore-style open tolling system. This transformative project is expected to significantly boost regional economic growth while providing commuters with a faster, more efficient travel option between Maharashtra's two major cities.
