Weather experts anticipate a gradual strengthening of monsoons.

Mumbai woke up to a cloudy morning with scattered light to moderate showers across various neighbourhoods on June 19. In response to this weather pattern, IMD has issued a Yellow Alert for Mumbai, effective today and tomorrow. However, beyond June 20, no alerts are in place for the city.

Meanwhile, nearby regions of Raigad, Ratnagiri, and Pune will remain under a Yellow Alert until June 23.

Weather experts anticipate a gradual strengthening of monsoon conditions in Mumbai, with expectations of moderate rainfall by June 21-22. Coastal Maharashtra is likely to experience significant precipitation, while central Maharashtra, including Marathwada, can expect light to moderate rainfall during this period.

Additionally, the Ministry of Earth Sciences has stated in a Press Release that conditions are favourable for the Southwest Monsoon to advance into more parts of Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh over the next 3-4 days.

Today, Mumbai recorded an average temperature of 28°C. Over the next two days, expect temperatures to hover between 33°C and 25°C.
