Mumbai Weather News: Week-long rain set to accompany Ganesh Chaturthi & Bandra Fair

Expect light to moderate rain today, with heavier showers on September 13 and 14.

With Mumbai's iconic Ganesh Chaturthi festival and Bandra Fair in motion, citizens need to keep their umbrellas handy. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the city is expected to see cloudy skies with occasional showers starting September 9.

While Monday will bring pleasant weather with light to moderate rain, the latter half of the week, particularly September 13 and 14, may witness heavier rainfall.

Despite the wet conditions, the joyous spirit of these festival remains undampened. While Mumbai itself is not under any weather warnings, neighbouring districts Thane and Raigad are on Yellow Alert for isolated heavy rainfall. Temperatures are expected to range from 25°C to 32°C, providing a pleasant backdrop for the celebrations.
