Keeping in mind the new quarantine guidelines to enable strict compliance with the safety norms, a negative RT-PCR report has been made mandatory for all passengers travelling from Maharashtra to Indore. Moreover, the test should be taken 48 hours prior to the scheduled arrival time and if anyone fails to oblige with the rules, they will be subject to spot sampling and testing, added reports. The passengers will have to bear the cost of the tests and will be quarantined till the reports are released.

Furthermore, on-spot thermal screening will also take place at the Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Airport for a thorough checkup of travellers entering the city from Maharashtra. Reportedly, the airlines and health authorities have been informed about the new provisions and have been requested to make arrangements for the same.

RT-PCR report is mandatory in Indore & 5 other districts

Lately, the country has witnessed a drop in the number of COVID-19 cases and many states have been easing regulations and curbs in a phased manner. Although the requirement of a negative RT-PCR report has been scrapped in many states, the authorities of Indore, Karnataka, Delhi, Andaman & Nicobar, Chandigarh and Chattisgarh are still relying on it to prevent the spread of the deadly virus in the city.
