Mumbai is all set to welcome another mode of transport to its long list of transportation modes, with the introduction of electric water taxis in December. These new taxis will provide breathtaking views of Mumbai's coast and the skyline, to residents and tourists. In addition to that, these e-water taxis will be an environment-friendly addition to Mumbai's fleet.
Featuring a top speed of 12 nautical miles, the 24-seater e-water taxis in Mumbai will be accessible to locals and visitors, alike. This exciting new watercraft will complete its journey from the Gateway Of India in South Mumbai to Belapur in Navi Mumbai, in one hour.
Furthermore, these e-water taxis are incredibly efficient and can run for a total of four hours on a single charge. Naturally, these taxis will be capable of completing two round trips without needing to be recharged.
As for their current status, these e-water taxis are undergoing trial runs in Goa. Come December, they will be seen gliding the waters of Mumbai, adding another intriguing mode of transport to the maximum city.
