Playseum is a first-of-its-kind edutainment space in Mumbai, providing children with a unique combination of play and educational activities. Located in Santacruz West, this is essentially an experiential museum that emphasizes play-based engagements and activities.

Playseum: The Joy of Learning, Redefined

Playseum's exhibits and activities have been developed to promote problem-solving, decision-making, critical thinking and emotion-expression. These activities enable children to gain a new perspective on the world, learn life-changing skills and comprehend the emotions of others.

This 6,000 sq ft space is cleverly designed with sections that divide the activities, to keep the line moving from one area to another. Under the supervision of trained floor attendants, a 90-minute 'edutainment' session kicks off at the Donut Slide. However, the actual experience starts at the neighboring Palaeontology Cave.

Essentials: Creativity and Imagination!

Meera Sheth, the woman behind Playseum

The founder of this initiative, Meera Sheth [Shah], is of the opinion that children gain a great deal of understanding through imaginative play and investigation. She states that, as the world continues to evolve, it is becoming increasingly multicultural. Thus, creativity and imagination are now essential in today's world, for further growth.

Highlights of this museum

1. Paleontology Cave- Now we know what Ross had been doing! This engaging activity provides children with an opportunity to gain knowledge and skills related to fossil and paleontological research. This can lead to increased creativity, self-assurance, and a greater appreciation for science and history.

2. Fun Flow- This activity provides children with an opportunity to learn how water systems work while also developing their cognitive abilities. Additionally, the Fun Flow Bubble Tower encourages experimentation, enjoyment, and the development of emotional regulation and self-expression.

3. Doc Doc- Through this activity, children learn about well-being, empathy, and compassion, which are highly beneficial to their development. Further, the experience also teaches them to hone their emotional intelligence and social abilities.

4. Helicopter Simulator- This tool is great for kids, as it allows them to fly a helicopter, through a VR gaming experience! How cool is that?! There are various simulation options here as well, offering the ultimate fun experience for the little ones.

It also has a cafeteria!

This place also features a garden-themed cafe, that provides a range of nutritious and delectable meals. The cafeteria features millets, fresh fruits and vegetables. Remarkably, there is no indulgence in maida or unhealthy snacks in the menu, which surely scores brownie points from parents!

What else can you ask for?

All in all, Playseum activities are highly advantageous to young learners and can assist them in developing essential abilities. The museum also provides summer camps and membership packages, so contact them to find out more! BTW parents - Playseum toys are available for sale, allowing children to continue their 'fun' education at home.
