The minimum temperature depends on the strength of the arriving northerly winds.

Mumbai is slated to experience pleasant evenings ahead. India Meteorological Department (IMD) has reported a possible dip in the temperatures, in the upcoming 2-3 days. However, it is also being reported that the city can expect a significant temperature drop, following December 14.

As per IMD Director, Sunil Kamble, this change in Mumbai weather is being attributed to the arriving northerly winds. Further, the city's minimum temperature would depend on how strong these winds are as well as the impact of the western disturbances.

According to reports, the temperature may drop by only one or two degrees since the western disturbances have not set in yet. Until there is heavy rainfall in the northern parts of the country, the drop won’t be significant. Meanwhile, eastern parts of Maharashtra are expected to receive light rainfall over the next couple of days due to cyclonic disturbance. However, the Konkan region will remain unaffected, said IMD officials.

As on December 7, IMD Mumbai in its weather forecast has stated that the temperature in the Santacruz area is expected to hover between 34°C to 21°C. On the other hand, the maximum temperature in Colaba will be 33°C, while the minimum temperature is expected to be 22°C.
