Rainfall returns to Mumbai after a short break; IMD predicts moderate to heavy rains today!

Today, Mumbai woke to partially cloudy skies and a gentle breeze. As per Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) forecast, this pleasant weather will persist across the city and its suburbs through the afternoon and evening.

Mumbai's temperatures today is expected to hover between 26°C and 33°C, with an average of around 27°C. In the next 24 hours, moderate to heavy rainfall with thunderstorms might join the party, with southeast winds at 9.3 km/h, said IMD.

After a two-day hiatus, it rained in most parts of Mumbai on Friday morning, offering a welcome respite from the hot and humid weather. The showers started with thunder, yet fortunately, there were no significant reports of water-logging across the city.

A peek into the week ahead

Looking at the upcoming days in Mumbai, Sunday and Monday are set to bring a gentle rise in the minimum temperature, at 27°C. IMD also suggests a slight dip on Tuesday, with temperatures around 26°C. Moving forward, Wednesday through Friday will see temperatures within a range of 25-27°C.
