Tata Mumbai Marathon to affect BEST bus services on January 21; check details here

WR to run early-morning services, to accommodate the marathon participants and spectators.

As the Tata Mumbai Marathon is slated to be held on January 21, 2024, the Brihanmumbai Electricity Supply And Transport (BEST) has announced that several bus services would be disrupted on Sunday. Affected routes, operating between 05:15 AM and 1:30 PM, will be diverted from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus to Bandra Worli Sea Link. Reportedly, a total of 68 bus routes will face disruptions, with the AC double-deckers that usually run in South Bombay (SoBo) remaining inactive during this time.

The main marathon route from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus to Prabhadevi will face traffic restrictions. Bus operations on these routes, including A-100, A-105, A-106, A-108, A-112, A-113, A-123, and 155, will be temporarily postponed or diverted.

The alternative routes during this period include:

  • Sion-Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marg-J. J. Hospital-Wadi Bandar-P'dmelo Road Marg

  • Sion-Mahim-Senapati Bapat Marg-Dr. E. Moses Road-Mahalakshmi-Saat Rasta

Additionally, Western Railways will ease the travel for commuters by running three special slow Mumbai Local Trains on January 21. Departing from Virar, Borivali, and Churchgate, these early-morning services aim to accommodate participants and spectators of the Tata Mumbai Marathon 2024, starting as early as 2:15 AM.
