Tubs of bliss: THIS boutique ice cream parlour in Bandra, serves more than 10 unique flavours

Somya Agarwal

On hot, sunny days, one of the first thought that pops into someone’s head is: “This is a great day for ice cream!” Even though every day is a good day for it, summertime is definitely peak season. So next time when the craving for a cup of icy scrumptiousness strikes, head to Bono Boutique Ice Cream in Bandra.

This homegrown brand is known for its artisanal ice cream tubs that’ll hit all the right spots (organic and other special diets catered for, too).  Chances are that you might miss this one, for it’s seated at the end of a building compound in Bandra, with its entrace flanked by parked cars.

Totally worth melting for!

For the “new-school” ice-cream fans, this place makes this beloved dessert the traditional way but with modern and local flavours. If you’re after ice-cream with off-beat flair, Bono has dreamed up an array of more than ten unique cheeky flavours at this slick parlour. Standouts include Darkchoc Seasalt, Raspberry Cheesecake, Rose, Nutella Seasalt, and Rocky Road.

Available in two sizes (100ml and 300ml), these preservative-free ice creams are hand churned, using organic milk and locally sourced ingredients. When here during winters, you might come across seasonal flavours like strawberry or raspberries in monsoons.

Knock Knock

Run by a dynamic sister duo, Alyssa and Simone Chesson, Bono is based at two locations – Bandra (besides Noa Nutcracker) and Kemps Corner. Although not very spacious, this ice cream parlour nails its aesthetics and is perfect for cosy dates! Follow Bono’s Instagram handle for more updates.

When: 11 am to 11 pm

Where: Kamal Vishranti Kutir, 104/D, Road Number 24, Pali Village, Khar West [Beside Bandra's Noa by Nutcracker]
