As a part of this innovative project, the sorting station in Panjim's Dona Paula is the first one to be revamped. The artwork has been developed through collaborative efforts of Bombay Sapphire's Stir Creativity, Serendipity Arts Foundation, the Corporation of the City of Panaji and Start India co-founder Hanif Kureshi. It has been designed with an objective to motivate creativity and accelerate imagination amongst all viewers.
Speaking of this initiative, Sanjit Rodrigues, Commissioner, Corporation of the City of Panaji (CCP) said, "We have chosen our material recovery centres to be brightened up. The work of segregation of recyclables and non-recyclables goes on there, day in day out. For our workers, we want to drive home the message that this is the city's work and is important. We want to draw people to these centres so they see what is going on there. Art is an innovative and lively way to draw people in. This is the first installation created." The commissioner expects that the sorting stations would soon become a magnetic selfie-point for the district dwellers.

The artist behind this project, Hanif Kureshi informed that he has tried to refurbish the exteriors of the sorting station. Painting its exteriors in the bright shades of the Goan lifestyle, the initiative has attempted to make the station look appealing. The artwork blends different shades of blue that define the oceans and skies at different points of time through a range of geometric, symmetric and abstract visuals.
Goa is one of the few spots in the country that have deployed a strong and dynamic model for waste segregation. Almost 80% of the waste is recycled in a bid to promote a sustainable future. The significance of recycling and sustainable development in Goan lifestyle can be seen by the fact that this painting is being presented at one of the most frequented locations in the city.
