As per reports, the state is undergoing remarkable progress in the fields of higher education, more significantly in the field of technical education. The new institutes will definitely add glory to the existing educational sphere of the state which has prestigious colleges like IIT-Goa, BITS-Goa, NIT-Goa and Goa College of Engineering. Last year, the Goa government had issued a new set of guidelines that not just allowed the entry of private institutions in the state but also created an atmosphere conducive to the easy establishment of new campuses.

Aspirations of hosting over 25,000 students of higher education

The Chief Minister added that the institutes like NIT-Goa have offered immense aids to the state at different points in time, besides empowering its education sector. NIT-Goa conducted training programs for over 3000 school teachers for upgrading the instruction techniques in Math and Science.

Not just this, the institute also helped during the coronavirus pandemic by offering its hostel for a COVID-care facility and through its significant financial contributions. Reportedly, the director of the institute at the NIT Goa conference stated that the state has the potential to host around 25,000 students of higher education and expressed his desire to achieve the same.
