The IISF is conducted annually with the aim to promote a scientific temper across all strata of society and hopes to continue, with added festivities, in the coming times. While last year the event was held digitally with over 1 lakh delegates, the active vaccination and Goa's on-ground pandemic status has permitted combined physical and virtual operations this year.

The CM thanked the Minister for Science and Technology Government of India, for finalising Goa as the venue for the upcoming IISF-2021 and exuded confidence that the mega event will be a mega success.
