Enabling walk-in vaccination facility for the age group of 18-44, the Goa government will soon launch Tika Utsav 3.0 in its rural areas. The apex authorities informed today that the third edition of this festival will operate on the gram panchayat level and for this drive to be successful, efforts have already been put in motion.

Tika Utsav was first launched on a pan-India scale in April this year and the first two editions of this vaccination drive conducted in Goa received an enthusiastic response. With the third edition, it is expected that everyone will be inoculated as the public representatives, like MLAs and sarpanchs, have been creating awareness for this cause.

Priority vaccination to boost immunisation commenced today

In an attempt to boost immunisation against Covid amid the youth, the Goa government has prioritised the inoculation of students, job-seekers and Olympic participants who will be leaving for abroad. This move has been enforced from today, before Tika Utsav 3.0, in order to maintain a phase-wise vaccination strategy that ensures that no group is left out.
