The Chief Minister also took this opportunity to inform that the state-driven Tika Utsav 3.0 has received a good response since its launch on June 13. More than 16,000 and 14,000 persons have been vaccinated in the 18-44 age category, over the 2-day course of this drive, respectively.

People's enthusiasm and positive attitude towards inoculation, have propelled the state's initiative, accelerating the overall target achievement rate here. So far, around 6,58,255 vaccination doses have been provided in Goa. "Vaccination is the only option to defeat corona," the CM said.

It may be noted that recoveries surged over the new cases here on Monday, with 253 fresh detections and a whooping count of 720 discharges. These statistics suggest an effectively lowering active caseload, tallying up to 4,175 COVID patients at present. On the other hand, the death toll was pushed to 2,947 casualties with 9 more virus-related deaths in the last 24 hours.
