Unique in design & display, Jaipur's Gyan Museum is a window to world history!
Inspired by the freedom and fervour of their father who was a collector of decorative items of all sorts, Dhaddha Brothers consolidated his memory by opening Gyan Museum. The blueprint of this museum in Jaipur was conceptualised by Paul Mathieu and the artefacts showcased here are kept in enclosed spaces that appear futuristic in design. So let's embark upon a virtual walk through the corridors of Gyan Museum, to foster your love for all things vintage and archaic!
A unique assortment of historical paraphernalia
The collection at Gyan Museum orbits around the multitude of items that belonged to naturalist, collector and gemologist, Late Mr. Gyan Chand Dhaddha. In essence, the story of this museum goes back to the time when he was sixteen and his father offered him two antique objects that never exited his fascination. Upon his passing, his sons gave form to his story finally by opening the Gyan Museum in his memory.
Storing approximately 3000 years of cultural heritage with over 2500 works, of both Indian and foreign origin, this museum is home to textiles, paintings, metal art and much more! Everything between rare inscriptions and cabinets full of vintage spectacles, is a part of Gyan Museum's display.
