Indian-American Mathematician Calyampudi Radhakrishna Rao will receive the International Prize in Statistics 2023. After receiving the award this July, for his monumental work from 75 years ago, Rao will become the first person of South Asian descent to take home the prestigious award, which is equivalent to the Nobel prize in the field.
