The treatment of sewage water before release not only showcases the efficiency but has also solved many problems related to sanitation and stench in residential areas neighbouring the water bodies. As a result, the fish population has also increased over the last few years.
About 16K private establishments are installed with water recharging units in the district. These units are installed in 1500 public offices as well. The water level in rural areas has also increased since the construction of several check dams and ponds. Apart from that, 90 Baulis from the Holkar era have also been rejuvenated around the district.
Additionally, the city's civic body has been active in rejuvenating rivers. So far, IMC has rejuvenated Kahn and Saraswati rivers. The surveyors praised the efficiency of all these measures employed for water conservation in the district.
