Immortalised as a poetical illustration in Fisher's Drawing Room Scrap Book (1832) by Letitia Elizabeth Landon, the Jahaz Mahal of Indore boasts of a splendid, two-storeyed palace situated between two artificial lakes. Built by Sultan Ghiyas-ud-din Khilji, this architectural marvel is located at a distance of approximately 90 km from the city of Indore.
