100 recharge shafts at work to increase the city's underground water level

After Indore faced a significant water crisis this season, recharge shafts across the city are now active to boost the city's underground water levels. As per the Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC), these 100 recharge shafts collectively channel 90 lakh litres of water underground for every inch of rainfall in the city.

Citizens also encouraged to install rainwater harvesting systems

Apart from the water conservation efforts made by the administration, Indore citizens have also been encouraged to install rainwater harvesting systems at their residences and institutions. Indore Mayor Pushpamitra Bhargava also emphasized on the importance of cooperation between the citizenry and the administration to tackle the city's water crisis.
