Health check-up camps to be organised in Indore for specially-abled on April 7

On the occasion of World of Heath Day on April 7, a health checkup camp will be organised for the specially-abled in Indore. The camp will be organised under Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, an initiative of the Indian Government that celebrates and commemorates our years of freedom. The venue for the health check-up will be Abhay Prashal Sports Club. Following the health check-up, individuals will also be issued a unique identity card.

According to officials, the camp will be organised in collaboration with Special Olympics Bharat-Madhya Pradesh and State government. During a meeting held earlier, District Collector Manish Singh has instructed officials from various departments to help in carrying out a hassle-free health checkup and provide other necessary services.

The meeting was also attended by various organisations dedicated to the welfare of the taking care of specially-abled in the city. Additionally, such camps will be organised in 4 other districts of Madhya Pradesh. The move by Special Olympics committee is likely to promote sports for the handicapped and discover new talents.
