IIT Indore expands course offerings to improve students' technical proficiency

Owing to the ever changing scenarios of tech and advanced sciences, the Indian Institute of Technology, Indore will now offer 10 new courses from the upcoming 2023-24 academic session.

Overall, 4 new streams will be offered for the BTech program, while 6 will be offered for MTech at IIT Indore.

What are the new subject streams which have been added to the institutes?

Out of the new offerings, the undergraduate programs include BTech in Chemical Engineering, Mathematics & Computing, Engineering Physics and Space Science & Engineering, each with a total intake of 120 students.

On the other hand, the institute is introducing new MTech programs that will have specializations in Computer Science & Engineering, Water, Climate & Sustainability, Biomedical Engineering, Applied Optics & Laser Technology, Structural Engineering and Defence Technology, with a total intake of 75 students per program.

In addition, the institute has also increased the seats to 10 for its existing MTech programs in Space Engineering, Thermal Energy Systems and Electric Vehicle Technology.
