IIT Indore to offer free internships to 50 exemplary students from govt engineering colleges in MP
In an attempt to help and encourage bright engineering students, the Indian Institute of Technology has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with government engineering colleges across the state. As per these associations, 50 students will be given the chance to intern or carry out projects with the institute.
IIT-I will charge no extra fee from the students for these opportunities. On top of that, accommodation will be provided to the students entirely free of cost. The institute will also bear the cost of research work by these students.
Once in a lifetime opportunity
Interning at a renowned national level institute like IIT is a once in a lifetime opportunity for the students. The name of the institute is held in high regard by employers and other educational institutes both inside and outside of India.
As per the officials, the duration of these internships will be one month. During this period, the interns will be guided by faculty members of the institute. The interns will be appointed at different schools, disciplines or centres in the institute. Additionally, they will be allowed access to state of the art facilities for research work and more at the institute.
Usually, the institute offers internships on a first come first serve basis. Despite the fact that the students will be selected on the basis of merit, it is likely that the first come first serve policy will still be employed this time around.
The students will be working with some of the greatest, most qualified and experienced minds in the domain. Apart from a quality learning experience, they will also get to interact with bright individuals with varying perspectives.
