Launchers installed at Radisson Square

Towards its deadline, only 16% of the work that was supposed to be completed in June has been done. Reportedly, the work of Metro Rail from Gandhi Nagar to Super Corridor and Luvkush Square is at a slow pace, however, the work on Radisson Square to MR 10 is going on as per the plan.

The concerned agency has already started the construction of the side rails. This will result in speedy completion of the tracks. As of now, between MR 10 to Radisson Square, two segment launchers are being used for segment installation. These launchers have been used to install segments along 18 pillars between MR 10 and Radisson Square. Additionally, the RVNL is also using a ground support system for launching segments on seven other pillars.

Metro Line 3 will have 29 stations

Indore Metro phase 1 includes the construction of a 34.5 km long Metro Line-3 that includes 29 stations, out of which 6 will be underground stations and 23 will be elevated stations. The proposed Line-3 passes through some heavy traffic areas like Bhawarkuan Squar, Rajwada, Vijay Nagar, Palasia, Bengali Square, Radisson Square and more.

IMRCL aims to complete the 17.5 km of the project on priority by September 2023. However, at present only 44% of the 5.29 km viaduct at the priority corridor has been completed and the order has been passed for the construction of the remaining part of the priority corridor.

Additionally, the valuation of the tenders for rolling stock, signaling and communication system is in the final stages and the order to start work on these systems will be soon released.
