Police Strengthen Security with Mock Drill

The police held a security drill at C-21 Mall on Thursday to enhance their security measures in preparation for upcoming festivals. DCP Hanshraj Singh oversaw this exercise. ACP Anil Kumar Mandrah and the BDDS team practiced responding to potential emergencies, specifically addressing the discovery of suspicious items in public areas.

International Girl Child Day celebrated 

Lok Biradari Trust and Abhishree Foundation in Indore hosted an awareness program on International Girl Child Day at CM Rise Malav Girls School, MOG Line, Indore. The event focused on educating girls about their rights and protecting them from crimes. Ankur Ashok Lokre, from Abhisree Foundation, stressed the importance of safe touch and education for children. Phool Singh from Lok Biradari Trust informed the children about accessing help from Child Line and the Child Welfare Committee during challenging situations.

Indore's SoE Launches E-Cell to Foster Entrepreneurship

The School of Economics at Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya launched its Entrepreneurship Cell (E-Cell) during the Genesis Fusion 1.0 induction program at the university auditorium. Speakers emphasized the fusion of practical aspects with academics, the importance of soft skills in business, managing entrepreneurial challenges, India's growth opportunities, and the significance of ethics and compassion in entrepreneurship. The E-Cell aims to nurture innovation, entrepreneurship, and leadership skills among SoE students.

Indore Startup Secures INR 1.5 Crore Funding from IIM Ahmedabad and American Chase

YouVah, an Indore-based startup focused on steering students away from conventional schooling toward skill development has secured $210,000 (equivalent to INR 17,481,450) in pre-seed funding. The investment comes from the co-founders of IIM Ahmedabad and an American Chase. The startup offers hands-on training to students in diverse fields during regular school hours and additionally facilitates internships with companies for high-performing students.

Indian Railways expands Indore-Bhopal Vande Bharat Express Service to Nagpur

Indian Railways has extended the Indore-Bhopal-Indore Vande Bharat Express, which will now connect Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra by running between Indore and Nagpur. Covering a distance of 635 km in eight hours and 20 minutes, the train will operate six days a week, except Sundays, making stops at Ujjain Junction, Bhopal Junction, Itarsi Junction, and Betul railway stations. This blue and white train comprises eight coaches and marks the fifth new-age train in the Central Railway (CR) zone, following the CSMT-Shirdi, CSMT-Solapur, CSMT-Madgaon Goa, and Nagpur-Bilaspur Vande Bharat Express routes.
