The Railway Division Headquarters in Madhya Pradesh has received the final nod to recommence the operations of the Dehradun Ujjain and Dehradun-Indore trains. This revival is set to bring a huge relief to passengers from different districts of Madhya Pradesh and neighbouring regions of New Delhi, Mathura, Agra, Jhansi, added reports. With more services on track, people will have the window to travel safely while adhering to the norms of social distancing.

As per reports, now only the Saharanpur Passenger Express train (from Dehradun to Saharanpur) is yet to resume services. The train ferries thousands of commuters who work in the industrial units located in Hardiwar, Roorkee, Laksar and Saharanpur. Its suspension, in the present-day COVID situation, has created hardships for many who are not able to migrate to work and home.

Train travel until now was being permitted as a special service, where only passengers with reserved seats were permitted to onboard the service. Consequently, thousands of daily commuters had to turn to buses of the Transport Corporation which was taking a toll on their pockets. The revival of these trains is set to induce some normalcy to this situation, added reports.
