While some hard-hit Indian cities are observing a larger count of recoveries compared to new infections daily, the trend has been unstable for Indore. On Monday, 1,727 recoveries were recorded which is less than the fresh cases diagnosed on the same day. Since the start of the pandemic, Indore recorded a controlled case count with daily figures below the 1K-mark till April 12 this year. Marking an unprecedented spike, the cases surged over the 1.5k mark on April 13 and the graph has moved in the alarming zone for two weeks now.
While a total of 960 fatalities were witnessed till March 2021, since the outbreak of the pandemic last year, around 146 individuals have succumbed to the dreadful virus in the month of April alone. This stands directly correlated to the escalating count of active cases, which has hovered over the 10K-mark for a long time now.
Awareness & Cooperation, the need of the hour!
