Indore administration eases COVID guidelines; check new norms HERE!

The Indore district administration on Monday evening, relaxed certain pandemic restrictions in wake of the receding COVID transmission here. Under the scope of these eased guidelines, all hotels, restaurants and bars in the city have been permitted to extend operating hours till 11 PM.

Similarly, weddings gatherings have been allowed to include 50 guests now, provided that marriage garden operators submit the videography of the ceremony to the regional police station. This film will be monitored to ensure that all norms and safety protocols are followed strictly, read reports.

In a COVID review meeting at the Pritamla Dua Auditorium in Indore, the District Collector discussed the need to adhere to safety protocols with hotel and marriage garden operators. He issued the new directives and guidelines, by force of an official order - to ensure that city's overall health graph does not deteriorate again.

The latest district order designated the responsibility of the same on the entire district. The guidelines included special precautions to effectively cut down on the infection spread. The Collector pointed out how many people were flouting restrictive norms, especially at weddings and other events, by allowing more than the prescribed number of guests at the venue.

He has tasked the operators to make sure that no laxity or callousness is exercised here to break the COVID chain. Besides, he has also emphasised the need to follow all norms and precautions within the event premises, such as wearing masks and maintaining social distancing.

To keep a check on this, the district administration has ordained all marriage ground and other venue operators to submit the videography of the event at the concerned regional police booth. These video files will be check to ensure the proper adherence to all COVID protocols. The administration has warned of a strict prosecution against the operator in case there is any slip or slack in these guidelines.

The responsibility of the protocol compliance will be equally distributed among the administration and the operators, effectively keeping a check on infection swell. Parallelly, the Excise Department has been directed to ensure that city bars are following all protocols too. No bar, restaurant or hotel will be allowed to operate beyond the permitted hour (11 PM), the order clarified.
