MPPSC orders special centres for COVID positive candidates taking Mains examinations

In order to promote the welfare of COVID positive aspirants, the Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) has planned to establish specified centres that would allow them to take upcoming Mains examinations. In this direction, districts in Madhya Pradesh shall have one designated examination centre for COVID positive candidates, as stated by reports. According to sources, 3 out of 4 affected candidates who have contacted MPPSC were from Indore.

Over 10,700 candidates to sit for tests in 29 centres across the state

Reportedly, more than 10,700 students have passed the preliminary examination and are now gearing up to sit for the Mains test. As per the schedule, the main examinations of the three-tier selection process will be held from March 21 to 26. Reportedly, the tests are slated to held across a total of 29 examination centres in Indore, Bhopal, Gwalior, Jabalpur, Ratlam, Shahdol, Chhindwara and Satna. Amongst these, Indore houses the largest number of test centres.

'Isolation Examination Centres' in each of the test cities

In each of the aforementioned cities, one centre shall have the facilities for accomodating COVID positive candidates. To be called 'isolation examination centre', these locations shall have doctors and medical teams to provide any emergency support. Additionally, students will take the examinations wearing the PPE kit. As per sources, the administration will make travel arrangements for taking the students from the quarantine centres to the examination centres. Not only will these individuals sit in an isolated room but there will be separate entry points for them as well.

Strict adherence to COVID protocol at all centres

While the authority is ensuring that all guidelines and safety measures are strictly adhered to, it is also making sure that COVID affected individuals aren't left out of the selection process. Though the tests are scheduled to start at 10 AM, the candidates have been asked to be present at the centre at least one and a half-hour before the stipulated time. This would provide sufficient time for the officials to execute a comprehensive screening procedure.
