Upcoming night safari to boost tourism at Indore's Ralamandal sanctuary

Ushering in a wave of thrill and excitement for lovers of nature, the Madhya Pradesh government is deliberating upon the initiation of a night safari at the Ralamandal Wildlife Sanctuary. As per reports, the forest reserve area located on the peripheries of the Indore district will be revamped into an attractive tourist hotspot. Talking about the expected developments, the State Forest Minister apprised that a butterfly park is also proposed in the region.

According to reports, the minister mentioned that the nigh safari program will be started at the Ralamandal facility after different wild animals are brought from other places. Additionally, opinions of the local dwellers and public representatives will also be taken into account and they will have to be convinced before the execution of the proposed project. Reports state that an ecotourism park and an adventure also a part of the proposed plans.

As per reports, the naturally thriving area consists of more than 40 species of winged creatures, over 300 trees and more than 400 medicinal plants. Ralamandal is one of the few sanctuaries in the nation that welcomes visitors during the monsoons too.

Cable car facility to be launched for attracting tourists

While plans are being prepared for the development of the sanctuary, reports have stated that the butterfly park would be set at an approximate cost of ₹1.5 crores. Further, the administration is also mulling over setting up a cable car facility in that area. Linking Ralamandal to Devguradia mountain, this development will be a magnet for tourists and visitors.

Notably, a gallery displaying the chronicles of Ralamandal's journey was also established recently. During his tour, the State Forest Minister launched the facility instituted at the hunting place erected in 1950 by Holkars, the historical rulers of Indore. Reportedly, the museum is equipped with a sound system and narrates tales of around 14 kings of the Holkar dynasty through enrapturing depictions. Besides, it also contains historical instruments weapons and hunting prizes won by the kings, amongst other things.
