According to reports, the main entrance of the railway station will be reconstructed in such a way as to resemble the Rajdwada Palace, which is one of Indore's major tourist attractions. The railway ministry will be putting out tenders for the redevelopment project on February 15 and the companies interested will have till April 15 to offer their bids. The said tender is expected to be finalized by June 15.

The new-look railway station in Indore will be connected directly to the metro station apart from seeing a slew of additions such as mall, commercial area, executive lounge, roof area and upgraded wi-fi.
