Indore residents are facing a monsoon disappointment. Despite three weeks of July gone by, the city has received only 6 inches of rain, far below the average of 12 inches for the month. This is a stark contrast to last year, when over 18 inches of rainfall was recorded by this period. While the forecast for today and the week ahead promises rain, residents hope for a more consistent and heavy monsoon period to bridge the rainfall deficit.

While light rain and cloudy skies have dominated the past ten days, the strong monsoon system hoped for hasn't materialised. As of Sunday evening, rainfall stands at a meager 11.4 mm, pushing the total barely past 10 inches.

The lack of rain has also brought a drop in temperature. Drizzle and cloud cover on Sunday led to a 4°C dip, with the high reaching just 26.6°C compared to Saturday's 32.2°C. As of today, the temperature in Indore is 26.43°C, with a forecasted range between 24.1°C and 29.11°C. The relative humidity stands at 84%, and the wind speed is 84 km/h. The Air Quality Index (AQI) is 19, indicating good air quality.
