Industries invest in Pithampur Sec7 with Asian Paints setting plant in 2025; To create work openings

Indore's much-awaited project, the smart industrial residential township of Pithampur Sector 7 will soon witness the opening of large plants by Asian Paints and JSW.

Sector 7, developed on 2,232 hectares of land in front of Betma on the Indore-Ahmedabad Highway, recently attracted an investment greater than ₹10,000 crore from six prominent industries. These included companies in the domains of green energy, logistics, motor vehicles and so on. Plants by Pinnacle, Abada and Shakti Plastic are also slated to sprout here.

As part of the same, two paint manufacturing companies, namely the multinational giant Asian Paints and JSW Indore will be setting up their plants here by 2025. With the developments, direct and indirect employment opportunities for as many as 5,000-6,000 people are estimated to be created.

Founded in 1942, Asian Paints, who have been allotted 170 acres of land, will invest ₹2,000 crore in the township. At the same time, the 1982-established JSW has plans of investing ₹750 crore and will be setting up plant across 100 acres land. The large conglomerate will be employing 3,000-4,000 people directly and indirectly at industrial area Sector 7 in Pithampur.

The belt is not only close to the Indore Airport, it also has a prosperous industrial ecosystem in the proximity, thus, gaining attention of investors and companies. As per the Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation (MPIDC), the value of this land is gauged to exceed ₹1 billion. Besides the six industries, crucial services like that of fire brigade, a bus stop, cycle lane, bank will also host offices here. A sustainable and green source, solar panels installed will also help generate electricity.
