Indore is poised for a remarkable development with the approval of a state-of-the-art cable car system. It was decided unanimously at a recent Indore Development Authority (IDA) meeting to hire a consultant to supervise the use of this rather unconventional public transport option. With room for six to eight people at a time, this cable car will be ready to move through crowded and congested parts of the city. The goal of the Indore Development Authority is to pinpoint the main locations that will benefit most from the cable car system.

The Union Transport Ministry has given this ambitious project its in-principle approval and has allocated an initial budget of ₹1 crore for it. Chairman Jaipal Singh Chavda outlined other development projects that demonstrate Indore's dedication to modernisation, such as the building of flyovers at the intersections of Bada Ganpati, Marimata, and the Rajiv Gandhi Statue. The city's commitment to improving its public spaces and infrastructure is further demonstrated by a new garden and playground project in Baneshwari Kund, which has a budget of ₹12 crore.
