In a bid to augment the public transport framework of Indore and to enchance the design of city bus stops, the Atal Indore City Transport Service Limited (AICTSL) will work on developing new bus stops across the city.

The new bus stops will be developed via build-operate-transfer (BOT) model for which as many as 600 new locations have been identified. Thus, the transport authority has floated tender for the same.

Notably, a BOT contract is a public-private partnership where the government authority associates with a private company, which builds and operates a project for a set period, and then transfers it back to the government.

In addition, AICTSL will acquire 80 electric buses, of which 30 will operate on Indore's BRTS corridor and 50 will be used for intracity commuting.
