Adani Group to take on operational authority at Jaipur Int'l Airport from October 12

The Jaipur International Airport is set to see big changes and development in the course of the next few weeks, in line with the takeover by Adani Group. Reportedly, Adani Airports Holdings Limited (AAHL) will take over the Jaipur airbase from October 12, 2021. The company has already started to clock its observation period at the airport and on Thursday, a meeting of the Adani associates with the airport director, along with officials indicated the implementation of major changes here.

The AAHL will completely own and operate about 6 airports in India, including the previously leased Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Mangaluru terminals along with Jaipur, Guwahati, Thiruvananthapuram with the slated takeovers. This realignment of authority is being commissioned under the exercise of privatisation of airports in India. The change is pegged to converge global infrastructure with top-of-the-class services here.

After the completion of the required paperwork, the AAHL has scheduled the Jaipur Airport control for October 12. Presently, the Adani Group is fully engnaged in action to observe the airport operations. This infers that AAHL officals will monitor the regular work here before the offical takeover. These associates have been tasked to note all the required changes and upgrades that are needed here, which will then be implemented, post official takeover

All departments, including the airport terminal, operation area, apron area, along with the engineering fire section, accounts, HR and commercial unit, are now under the Adani purview. According to the information, the security system of the airport will be managed by the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) as before. No changes will be reflected here.
