On the occasion of the prestigious Rajasthan Diwas Celebrations, the city is set to host the grand Rajasthan Handloom Show 2022 in the iconic Hawa Mahal from today- 29th March, starting 6:00 PM. Rajasthan's handlooms are known for their vibrant colours and intricate designs. The remarkable handloom show seeks to celebrate the world-famous handloom art of the state for its unique and earthy prints.

Once you step into the world of Rajasthan, you slowly begin to decode its many motifs. It's a quest of sorts, for art in the city of Rajasthan exists everywhere- from markets to streets, to the forts and their staircases. With vibrant prints influenced from arid landscapes to the rich technicolour visions of elephants, parrots, peacocks, flowers, lotus, women carrying matkaas and everything you can possibly imagine. From representations of flower buds to wave-like patterns on the tie-dyed leheriya fabrics, it is an art that celebrates intricacy, beauty and culture. In a first, as a part of Rajasthan Diwas, the Rajasthan Handloom show, is set to celebrate the very essence of Rajasthan art, in the quintessential Hawa Mahal on 29th March i.e today, starting 6:00 PM.
